Public Art

Let Me Bring You Something Beautiful is an 8 part textile art series installed on the light filled 4th Floor of the Mandel Library of West Palm Beach.  The imagery foregrounds women’s faces and hands, and celebrates the endless summer of South Florida.  The installation hangs on the beams above the heads of library patrons, and an original poem can be read line by line as the viewer traverses the floor from east to west or west to east.  The poem reads:

Summer uplifts

With endless days

Let me bring you

Something beautiful

A poem a painting

A song you don’t know

You are the dream of dreams

Additionally, a wall piece entitled Shekere & Dance hangs midway, depicting two women dancing with these percussive gourd instruments.
